Core French

Core French

Through the study of French, students will communicate and interact purposefully and with confidence while developing the necessary skills to be intercultural citizens of Canada and the world. The Core French program emphasizes the development of oral competence skills while focusing on authentic learning related to real-life experiences and interests.

The value of learning French is reinforced in an inclusive classroom environment. The Core French program offers students in Grade 4 and beyond the opportunity to develop a usable command of the French language that can be expanded through further study at the secondary school level.
