A.B. Ellis is proud to provide Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe) language lessons to our students in Grades 4-8.  This Second Language option will run as an elective course in place of Core French during the school day.

Ojibwe language lessons are 40 minutes daily for our students in Grades 4, 5 and the Grade 5/6 classroom.  Ojibwe lessons are 30 minutes daily for our students in Grade 6/7, Grade 7/8 and Grade 8 classrooms.  A mark will be provided under the Native Language section of the report card for students taking Ojibwe.

If you wish to have your child participate in Ojibwe instruction, please send an email request to [email protected].  You will receive a follow-up call or email response regarding enrolment in the program.

Please note that even if your child attended Ojibwe classes during the previous school year, consent to participate will be required for each school year.
